The Story So Far...
Resident Evil: The beggining
There had been several unusual deaths in the area surrounding Raccoon city. Victims had apparently been eaten. A special force division of the Raccoon police department codenamed S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics and Rescue Squad) was sent in to investigate. They were taken by helicopter to the moors where the most deaths had occurred. After a thorough search of the area they found nothing. Then, there was something; a beretta, with its owners arm still clutching the trigger. It had been ripped off. Suddenly the team heard noises... growling. They ran for the chopper. Brad Vickers, the pilot, panicked and took off without them. The S.T.A.R.S. were stranded. The growls were becoming louder. They ran. Shooting into the darkness behind them, they ran and ran. The beasts were gaining on them by the second, and the surviving members of the team were running low on ammo. Finally they reached a house, a mansion which looked deserted. They charged the door and rested when they had a huge piece of heavy oak between the themselves and the the things outside. The team had been reduced to three members who stood in the hallway. They thought the mansion was a blessing, a miracle. They couldn't have been more wrong...
In that house they uncovered many secrets and encounted creatures which that had only seen in their nightmares. The Spencer Estate was overrun with the products of bio-engineering. The Umbrella corporation had been careless, and now their creations had broke loose. The S.T.A.R.S. had uncovered too much. Umbrella had to dispose of them, and the evidence. After a long struggle, Jill Valentine and Barry Burton, along with Chris Redfield and Rebbecca Chambers, escaped the mansion. Vickers had returned with the 'copter and air lifted them to safety. Albert Wesker, the third origional survivor had been on Umbrella's payroll all along. He was not so lucky. The company's ultimate creation - the 'Tyrant', had warped his body beyond recognition. Before his death however, Wesker began the count-down on the emergency explosives. The mansion went up in a ball of fire, along with all evidence...
The Aftermath:
The S.T.A.R.S. told the police, the press and the citizens on Raccoon city about the abominations which Umbrella had created. Due to a complete lack of evidence, the survivors were ridiculed. Umbrella did ot want to take any chances. They had to be dealt with. In a regular meeting at Barry's home, Umbrella agents stormed the house. Luckily the S.T.A.R.S. escaped with only minor injuries. They fled to a small dwelling somewhere on the outskirts of the city. From here Chris Redfield set off for the Umbrella H.Q. in Europe to uncover more evidence on the company's experiments.
Chaos:
Soon, the Umbrella's T-virus had spread into the city itself. Hundereds upon hundreds of people were becoming the zombie-like beings which the team had encountered in the mansion. The death toll was incredible. Any survivors were being eaten alive, and the police force didn't stand a chance. Jill was determined to escape. She set out into the city ready to take them on. The only thing she did'n't know was that she and the other S.T.A.R.S. members were being hunted, hunted by a creature that had a sole purpose of disposing of the the survivors. This awesome creature was named.... 'Nemesis'
